Set in the Victorian era just outside of London....
Dark, tense, fast-paced and emotional, Kaylee's talented mind spins us an amazing paranomal romance... with a beautiful spin on the classic enemies to lovers... (more so tense rivals to lovers in this case)
Aside from the implied "breeding potential" and the mentions of abuse from the father, this novel does an amazing job on bringing us an eye into the world of the supernatural through our strong, independent Cordelia, and the dazzling Bishop who she eventually falls for. Kaylee does a FANTASTIC job of properly giving every single character, main or side, some sort of personality, and some sort of role in her story with a perfect touch of mystery and secrecy that leaves you wanting more. It has twists, turns, the perfect touch of spice, and a romance that starts slow to be quickly set ablaze...
This is a tale that will keep you flipping page to page, nonstop till the end, and a definitive recommend from me! As someone who hasn't read paranormal romance for a while, this has definitely placed me back on loving this sort of novel, and I cannot wait to read the second one when the time comes around.
