Twisty, dark, and utterly delicious...welcome to the world of Caimor... where the rich have it all, slipping from one designer body into another at their leisure, while the poor are doing all that they can to survive....

Anabelle Gage knows this all too well. She has been stuck in a male chassis that is rotting from the inside out... unable to afford a new chassis to transfer her Pith to.

And when her last attempt at entering Paragon Academy is smashed into the ground like dirt, she believes everything is over.

In a final act of desperation to save herself from her own rotting chassis, she steals one.

And not just any one, but a Star-Crossed one... except in the act of her crime she is caught.... by no one else other than the Headmaster of Paragon himself....

And oh my stars, I wouldn't be lying when I say this book absolutely destroyed me. Queen of Faces will draw you in with its ruthless, chilling atmosphere and will keep you guessing until the very end. Mixed with the perfect amount of soft horror, this book is not only one lush with world building but also shows itself as a survival story full of raw, intimate emotion. This is a tale of desperation, of one's identity, and the constant struggle between power and liability. Of secrets, of shadow, and moments of bedazzlement... and grotesqueness....

The concept of a "chassis" instead of a body, and the way that the rich and the elite slip so easily from one to another... creating a metaphor of class in a way that is so chilling and reminiscent of real life in such an eerie way. Combined with the softer, gentler element of romance... and not just romance, but sapphic romance? This is everything I wanted and so much more in a dark academia book.

If you are looking for something that will make you feel both horrified and yet captivated... that will move you with emotions on every page.... or if you enjoy works from popular authors such as Leigh Bardugo, R.F. Kuang, or Ava Reid... Queen of Faces is everything you could desire and so much more.
