Gena does an amazing job of weaving in the trials and political tension that one can face being in this role in real life, as well as seamlessly blending in new dangers, deliciously wicked twists, and events that will make you stop and think "wait... what just happened?". And then the unexpected happens. Cyrus, her boyfriend and her love, begins to slowly lose himself to a mysterious ailment that is causing him to become someone Arden doesn't recognize anymore... And if Arden dosen't take risks... then she will lose the one she loves forever.

With beautiful emotional tensity, plot twists, shocking events, and beautiful world-building, Gena has done an absolutely fantastic job in Kingdom of Today. And now we await book 3....
